Tonight we were talking at the dinner table about Kayla's Sunday School teacher and she said he's known as "the swearing teacher". I asked "what'd he say? Hellfire Damnation?" and without skipping a beat Matt started singing "How Firm a Foundation...". It is quite amazing how much those sound alike.
Last week Grandma asked the boys to find their safari vests that they got for their birthday since they would come in handy for their trip to the zoo. Matt called her later to tell her he couldn't find them. Here's their conversation:
Gma - did you check the dirty clothes?
Matt - yep, they weren't in there.
Gma - hmmm, how about the roof?
Matt - Grandma! They wouldn't be up there!
Gma - okay, then how about the basement?
Matt - nope, we don't go down there.
Here's the trick though... We don't have a basement.
Grandpa has been taking the kids geocaching, finding little hidden treasures wherever they go. After about the fourth time Matt asked if he could do his own. He was very excited to hear that he could. When asked "where would you hide it?" he answered "my room!".
Today I went to call Abbie in from a local playground and caught sight of her just in time to see her lay down in the sand and start swishing her arms and feet like you do when making snow angels. I don't wonder where all the sand in my car comes from anymore.

Kids say the darndest things! Is "darndest" a word? Haven't you heard of Sand Angels before? If not, you have now. You should save all the sand in the car and eventually you could make your own sandbox and THENNNN the sand could come in the house instead of the car. Would that help?

lol I love the way kids think :) When we were in Simi we went to a few geocaches but one was WAY hard to find. Infact I had to email the guy who placed it to make sure it was still there...it was but we still couldn't find it. I'll have to send you the coordinates so you guys can check it out ;)
