The house has had all of the asbestos-laden muck cleared out and is now down to just the studs and concrete.

The architectural plans for our "dream house" are going to Structural Engineering to make sure the whole thing won't fall down around us and then we'll get bids from General Contractors to see if we can afford it and make it a reality. As soon as we pick a GC (in the next month or two) then we'll move ahead with complete demo and tree removal and start on the new digs!
We're still undecided what to do about the trees that were shish-kabobbed. Maybe build an outdoor fireplace there instead.

Natalie and family arrived safely in Germany (Auerbach in der Oberpfalz) or "Germ-ee" as Ilana pronounces it. They enjoy attending their military ward and Ilana is looking forward to starting preschool there next week. Here are some pictures from the family going-away party at Jason's Aunt Susie's house (and barn in the back):
Natalie enjoying the day...

Jackson wondering how long it'll take before he's as tall as Uncle Shaun...

Sweet Ilana... collecting up her spoils from the pinata...

Jackson getting a helping hand from Mikale...

I just LOVE our new camera!
Mom and Dad are finishing their medical check-ups for their mission and are hoping to leave in the next month or two so that they can be back in time for the house to be done. Heaven forbid Mom misses any of the decorating! :)
Love you all and I'll try to write again soon.
